Avalanche Auto A/C Refrigerant 134a with Pressure Gauge replaces lost refrigerant and oil. The formula improves cooling capabilities of the A/C unit and provides better heat exchange by forming a protective film to decrease friction, reduce engine drag, prevent oxidation and sludge formation and extend the compressor life. The Stop Leak system-safe chemical additive stops leaks in O-rings and other rubber components where most common leaks begin. Extends Compressor life and increases system performance. Re-useable recharge hose with built-in low-side pressure gauge. Not for use on hybrid/electric vehicles with non-belt driven (electric driven) compressor. 18-oz. can.

Avalanche 8064973 Stop Leak, Improved Cooling 18 oz Automotive Refrigerant

Brand Name: AC Avalanche

Refrigerant Type: R134a

Product Type: Air Conditioner Refrigerant

Container Size: 18 oz

Packaging Type: Can

Installation Instructions: 1. Locate the vehicle's low side service port. This port will often have a plastic cap and is located between the a/c compressor and the evaporator. It is the only port to which the Avalanche recharge hose will connect. 2. Start the engine and turn air conditioner to maximum cool and maximum air flow. Close passenger compartment. 3. Tighten the recharge hose to the top of the Avalanche can by turning it clockwise. Make sure it is firmly attached. Shake can well. Connect the quick connect coupler to the low side service port by pulling the connector ring back as you push the fitting onto the service port. Make sure it locks into place. 4. Check gauge pressure when the compressor cycles on. Using the chart, determine the correct low-pressure PSI level in accordance with the ambient temperature. Read pressure when the clutch is cycled on. If the gauge needle is above the correct PSI level, check your compressor to see if it is cycling on. If the compressor does not engage, repairs ma need to be performed. If gauge reads in the Red Zone and the compressor is cycled on, do not recharge. Seek a mechanic's assistance. Some vehicles with expansion valves cannot be accurately charged using low side pressure gauge only. If your gauge is not increasing, stop charging and check air vent temperature
